Wednesday, March 21, 2012 // Taipei, Taiwan - VIVOTEK proudly presents FD8135H and FD8335H, two of its first megapixel fixed dome network cameras with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology. Both models will be on live demo at ISC West, where they make their first appearances. The booth number is 26073.
Not only are VIVOTEK FD8135H and FD8335H both 1-Megapixeled with 720p viewing resolution up to 30 frames per second (fps), they come with HD WDR CMOS sensor to cope with challenging lighting conditions. The WDR feature allows the camera to capture both the dark and bright parts of an image and combines the differences to generate a highly realistic image representative of the original scene, enabling it to provide video quality close to the capabilities of the human eye.

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain, February 27, 2012 – Alvarion® Ltd. (NASDAQ: ALVR), a provider of optimized wireless broadband solutions addressing the connectivity, coverage and capacity challenges of public and private networks, today announced that it was selected by the Canary Islands Government to supply, install and implement wireless broadband connectivity in remote areas as well as three hundred educational centers.
The government owned network makes use of Alvarion’s 4G technology, allowing a broadband connection of at least 6 Mbps, reducing the digital divide and significantly improving the efficiency of the Regional Government.
Alvarion’s solution addresses a number of challenges such as connecting three hundred educational centers located on 7 islands, and overcoming rugged terrain and long distances. It was key for the Government to provide a broadband connection of at least 3 Mbps and to implement a private network that would facilitate the needs of the public administration while eliminating the expenditure of the current leased line solution.
