CamScripter App is an in-camera ACAP application that extends the capabilities of compatible Axis IP cameras by running ready-made or custom micro applications directly on the camera. It is designed for projects that need to collect, process, or display information from third-party systems and external data sources. When combined with CamOverlay App, CamScripter can place data from APIs, XML, JSON, sensors, counters, business systems, and other integrations into live video as dynamic graphics. The application can also complement Axis Events when standard camera event functions are not sufficient. With browser-based configuration and a library of available integrations, CamScripter App supports customized video workflows, automation, data visualization, and specialized IP camera applications without requiring a separate computer to run the micro app.
